Caribbean waters inspired Yris’ dreams of fairy tale brides, beautiful princesses, regal weddings and OH…the Prince Charming. It’s a fantasy of little girls everywhere but dreams do give way to more practical matters; and so it was with Yris. Apparel design studies replaced the fairy tales; youthful musings were far away.
When bridal couture came to Rhode Island
At 22, weaving lace and fantasy returned; New York was calling. The Fashion Institute of Technology offered a rare opportunity where Yris evolved into a bridal designer with a passion to make every girls dream wedding dress come alive.
